Ice Cave Elopement // Tarsi & Brian

This is about as far from a conventional wedding as possible. Waking up before sunrise and get all dressed up. Start the day with a romantic walk on top of a 120m high sea cliff at sunrise. Jump into a super jeep that hurtles you through a moon like, black sand desert towards an outlet glacier under a volcano. At the bottom of the glacier you add a bit of lipstick on and slip into the final accessory to perfect your wedding attire, crampons.

With the help of the crampons and highly trained, professional guides you make your way up to an ice cave that under no circumstances looks real. The fact that water can carve something like this into thousand year old ice is as mind boggling as the fact that even massive caves like this one only last for mere months.

You then listen to the wise words of the Nordic Chieftain echo off the ice that is as old as the texts he is quoting for your wedding ceremony. You then kiss to seal your wedding oaths as the low winter sun rises above a distant mountain top illuminating everything in a warm glow.

You then end the day with a casual waterfall chase as the last light of the day fades away into the North Atlantic ocean in the distance.

And as if all of this wasn’t adventurous enough the beautiful bride Tarsi was 31 weeks pregnant at the time and pulled this off with the biggest smile on her face the entire time.
