Birta suggested we would come to this place on the north coast we had never been to before and knew nothing about, to shoot her and Jón Atli's story. So we packed our camera gear in to our small car and drove into the unknown, not having a clue what to expect. We arrived to the small village of Skagaströnd in the dark of night. When we woke up early the next morning this little fishing village greeted us with the perfect light and a stunning sunrise and Jón Atli and Birta showed us some of their favourite locations, resulting in a set of images we are quite happy with. Birta and Jón Atli have to be one of the cutest couple we have ever photographed and they made our job so easy. And we have to give a shoutout to Jón Atli's mother for the food, it was very welcome after hours shooting in the cold.
